Someone on a thread was looking for a flap holster for a Woodsman so I tried my 4.5 MT 2nd series in a 1911 holster and it fit fine. The Eubanks basketweave holster and 6 inch 3rd series Target [a parts gun] were found at the CCA show in NC. When Colt switched from Coltwood (a material similar to Bakelite) to injection molded plastic, changes were made in the grip frame area to accomodate the tabs. Those later grips (bottom) will not fit an early type 2nd series Woodsman frame (top). My 3rd series Woodsman has black plastic grips, but I would prefer walnut.
