I have been experiencing period-like cramping, excessive discharge, and pelvic pain over the last week. Just visited my OB and learned that I was 1 cm. dilated and that “her head was sitting very low.”. Well, first off – a lot of people are curious as to if the pains they are experiencing are early labor and wonder what they’re doing to their cervix. And that’s OK. Your provider should be happy to check your cervix and let you know. 1cm is nothing to worry about. I was 2cm dilated from 32 weeks until my last appt. at 40+weeks.
