A German barrel would have the circle in a diamond (Suhl) proof. It may be partial or there may be two Suhl proofs. The Suhl proofs are really unmistakable in my opinion. It looks like the barrel on the subject rifle is Romanian. Just wanted to show some pics of the East German build that ws done over at Middletown Firearms in Va! It was built on a Childers receiver with an FN Herstal barrel and an ALG Trigger. The receiver was cold blued to match the existing parts. The muzzle brake is a clone (CNC warrior type84 knockoff, but in 7.62, sold by dissident arms and others), sling is chinese w/ an HK clip.
