Browning a5 problems
After all, it is a John Browning design that is a classic. Yesterday, a friend let me shoot his Sweet 16, and it was indeed a sweet shooting gun. I am now on the hunt for my own browning A5. I am leaning towards a 12ga, since I already have a few 16ga guns, and the 16ga A5s seem pricey. I plan to use the gun for turkey and duck hunting, plus ...When looking at the mag tube, it appears that the mag cap pushes down on the end spacer (movable end cap that the spring fits into) and this then blocks the last shell. Is there some way to fix this on my own. Install a shorter spacer, or follower,etc. Three of the 3" shells work fine as the over all length is shorter than 4 of the 2 3/4" shell.

So far i have purchased the 4 round tube extension from nordic, and have plans to cut and choke the fixed full 32" barrel. However, this thing is still a beast.First, grip the gun firmly, that can make a big difference on marginal recoil loads. Lubing the mag tube will help, polishing it may do the trick. A few months ago I purchased a new Browning A5 in 16ga. I shot probably about 300 shells through it with no issues whatsoever, but the last two times I took it to the sporting clays course it has been having feed issues. Jul 18, 2009 · Browning A5 doesn't eject when fired. I have a new-to-me Browning Auto 5 (1929, 12 gauge) that doesn't eject spent shells when fired. I'm using Remington STS #8 2-3/4" ammo and the friction ring is set for light loads. When cycling manually it works beautifully, so the ejector is obviously functioning, but the bolt isn't coming back far enough ... Always make certain that your firearm is not dropped from the stand, or dropped while it is being taken up or down from the stand.
