Its an old topic, but the problem here is that the anti-theft system is enabled and therefore you cant turn the key into position 1 or 2, it just wount let you. The car is locked down. I have the same problem atm, tryed with 2 keys (keys are working). The car ( W220) just doesnt recive the unlock signal from the key.This car does not have the smart key and this message shows up even thought the key is not in the ignition. When I put the key in the key switch and turn nothing happens. No dash lights nothing.
